Washington Ultra Series Winners2011 Series Winners!Adam Hewey won the series this year by putting in strong performances early and wrapping up the win at White River. Shawna Tompkins won two 50milers but waited to win the last race at Cle Elum to win a tight women's race. Shawna's husband Thomas kept it in the family by taking second for the men and over 50 Daniel Gallant was third. Candice Burt and Heather Anderson battled all year in a tight race for second and third. 2011 Results
Newbies win 2010 Series!Our two winners this year were both newbies to ultra racing, but took different paths to win the series. Alex Henry won the men's division by winning 3 of the 4 races he entered. Candice Burt ran every race of the series with solid results to win the women's division and co-winning the Forest Gump award.Peter Kline won the Forest Gump award for running every race in the series. 2009 Series WinnersBoth the men's and women's series races were close, with Chris Twardzik putting in a great effort at the very tough Cle Elum 50K to win by less than a point. Chris was also the only winner of the Forest Gump award for successfuly finishing every race in the series!Kris Ryding ran Cle Elum as a taper before Hundred in the Hood the next weekend. These are two tough ultra runners. Be sure to check out the age group winners by clicking on 2009 Results. Remember to do the math if the runners scored in more than 5 races.
