Now the current leaders for the series are Matt Nahorniak for the men and Laura Gould for the women. The next race is SOB on July 12th.(full) 3. New Running Store in Gig Harbor
Miguel Galeana, uber fast runner,(Paradise to camp muir in 1 hour and 32 min with a 10min sidetrack, back down in 45min), and former manager of South Sound Running, has opened a new running store in Gig Harbor "Route 16". Check it out at: http://www.route16runwalk.com/. In addition to running shoes and gear, he also offers training and has info on local running routes. 4. Crazy Tips-Map your running routes
I just started using a free mapping service Favorite Run, http://www.favoriterun.com/. This nifty tool lets you map out your runs and gives you milage. I mapped a couple of my normal training runs to find out the actual distance I'd been running all this time and even mapped a trail run. Its easy to use and I would suggest to pay the $12 for the additional services, such as elevation gain, and for you techno geeks, GPS downloads. You can even log your runs and track your shoes. One of the best features is searching for running routes by zip code or city. If you're traveling, it's a quick way to find local running routes.
