1. 2009 Washington Ultra Series
We have the new 2009 Washington Ultra Series posted. Check out our new races on the east side of the Cascades. More races, more fun!
2. Tribute to the Trails 2009 Calender
Enjoy the trails all year long with this 2009 wall calendar, created by Seattle Ultrarunner and photographer Glenn Tachiyama. Now in it's fourth year, the "Tribute to the Trails" Calendar Project was started as fundraiser for the Washington Trails Association (WTA).
3. McCoubrey wins award!
The Mountain/Ultra/Trail running (MUT) council of long distance running has named Scott McCoubrey the 2008 USATF Contributor of the Year.
"Scott McCoubrey works tirelessly promoting trail, mountain and ultrarunning. He directs the growing U.S. National 50 Mile Trail Championships and the Cougar Mountain Trail Racing Series, which raises money to maintain the park where the events are held. McCoubrey also puts on the Mountain to Sound Greenway Multi-Sport Race promoting green space preservation."
"Through the Seattle Running Club and Seattle Running Company, McCoubrey leads free weekly trail runs. Trail runners with previous or current ties to the Seattle Running Company include Ian Torrance, Phil Kochic, Krissy Moehl, Hal Koerner, Brian Morrison, Greg Crowther and Uli Stidl. McCoubrey has played a roll in the success of these and many, many other trail runners."
